  • Individual Use Paper Towels...

I am not sure how it is in other states, but we are required to have children dry their hands with paper towels. Currently, ours are on a roll in the bathroom. I buy the ones that are perforated in half-sheets.

Today I walked in as DCB was drying his hands, and he had a strand of 8 paper towel sections torn off. I talked with him about it, but I can't be in there to supervise each child after using the potty.

Buying 8x the paper towels isn't really how I like to spend my extra money... :: How do you all manage this ? I thought about pre-tearing them and putting them in a stack on the counter or in a drawer ?

I know Blackcat has mentioned a dispenser from Sams. I might look into that option too.

Can you use single use hand towels and wash them after every use. I have many 18 packs of white washcloths for the kids to use and a basket for them to go in after each use.

I wonder if that would work ?? That's what we do for after meal clean-up - so I definitely have a TON of the same 18 packs that you use. I believe they word it as "individual use", but I will double check. I think "individual use" would apply to washcloths. THANK YOU !!

I am very lucky to have a space in my tiny little bathroom to put up cup hooks. I label each one with the child's name and then hang a finger towel for there use after using the bathroom.
These get washed regularly. I also use individual wash cloths at the table for clean up after lunch.

Okay, that brings up another question. I always understood "individual use" to mean that they can be used only one time. But now that I think about it - It could totally mean that they just have their own. I just never really thought about it any differently.

How would you take that to mean ? Will be e-mailing my monitor today ! I would love to just hang up towels on hooks foe them.

In MN you can have "individual" towels that are laundered daily for each child.

We have to use "one use" which means we can't use a washcloth all day. Don't think I'd do that anyway. I use a small paper towel holder attached to the wall and use trifold paper towels.

I also never thought about using the tri-fold paper towels. That is a good way to manage how much they are taking.

See, I am really bad about thinking outside of my own little box. I really never thought about any other ways. Thanks ladies.

This is what I do. Bought a nice looking dispenser online from Target and use the tri-fold towels from Costco.

It's a good idea to install it a little bit away from the toilet to prevent toilet clogs!

LOL!! Yes, mine is near my sink and is high enough that they need to be standing on the stool at the sink in order to reach the towels.

I have my tri fold in a wicker basket and each child gets two when they are done washing their hands.
