To all parents who are excited about potty training. Be sure your child is ready FIRST and that YOU are ready to do the work. Potty training MUST start at home first. Once child is successful and excited to use potty discuss with your daycare provider and set up a date when child can begin potty training at daycare.
Don't give candy or other food based rewards. Using the potty is the reward!
Please don't expect daycare (group and family daycare providers) to do it for you. If you can manage a week of potty training and your child is interested and excited then daycare providers will be more than happy to assist with training.
Don't put diaper on at home but expect child to underwear at daycare.
