Hello everyone! I am currently a pt/ft (seasonal) daycare assistant at an at home daycare in New York. I have been working for the daycare since 2013, but have been working with the children (vol.) since 2011. I am a college junior and basically my role in the daycare has essentially being second provider- I do a lot of the plans, I answer phone calls and set up parent meetings

In my county I have to have 30 hours of training every 2 years, I just completed my health and safety course bringing my total hours up to about 60 in a little under 2 years .

Welcome to the forum. I would love to have a part time assistant, but will never be able to swing that. Sounds like you enjoy your job!

Welcome! My daughter is a junior in college too, studying ECE. She helps sometimes in my program, but only when the spirit moves her, not in any official capacity.
