Hi All-
I thought I'd introduce myself before I jump on in the discussions around here!
I've been a nanny for about 5 years before I moved and got my business management degree. I decided to get into daycare after I had my son (who is now 1 1/2 years old) and wanted a more meaningful job that made me feel good about being away from him 10+ hours a day. I knew being a family daycare provider would mean long days and being with my son but having to focus on my daycare duties first during daycare hours. My mom was a daycare provider and so I remember very dearly all the interesting experiences she went through!
Anywho, I've only been doing family daycare for little over a month (I'm licensed and have all the required training but nothing beats the experience) and already I have a ton of questions and have been lurking around here getting a lot of perspective into the daycare world! I have much to learn!
