    Flip flops on littles.
    SHOES THAT SQUEAK. WHY!?
Sundresses/skirts without shorts underneath. I do not like seeing little girl underwear and diapers/pull ups all day.
These god awful sandals. Can't get them wet/don't dry well. Holes get rocks/sand/mulch stuck in them. They LOOK functional, but I HATE them. EVERY CHILD has them.

    PANTS/SHORTS WITHOUT FUNCTIONAL DRAWSTRINGS. WHY!?
    I prefer these shoes hahaha

ETA the ones I prefer have the Velcro part on the top not around the ankle

Or undo their diapers! :: I don't mind them most of the time either. I had 1 come in a jumpsuit thing that had no buttons or zipper! I had to squeeze him out of the neck hole to change his diaper! Certain Crocs drive me crazy. I used to have an infant who's mother squeezed her in clothes 2 sizes too small. why??!!

This isn't really a pet peeve for me, but I just don't get it. What really is the point of onesies anyway? Because I have a two year old who still wears onesies under her shirt and leggings and skirt, or whatever outfit she's wearing, and I really don't get it. It just adds an extra layer of heat in the 80° weather in the summer in California. And it isn't a PITA really, but as we all know, add an extra 40 seconds to a diaper change- no thanks! Lol And really puts a damper on trying to do a quick stand up change..

          I love them. lovethis

They keep sand and mulch out of diapers/undies. They also keep tossed diapers out of ball pits and sand boxes.

I take off the outerwear upon arrival and put it back in their cubby. Then I add a pair of dark colored quick dry gym shorts over the onsie for the day.

All DS wears is onsies (bodysuits) with pants or shorts. He likes to take his diaper off AND put his hands in his diaper. So...there's that. As long as a DCK is not actively potty training I don't mind them though.

Thankfully all of my parents now are pretty great about sending their kids in appropriate clothing.

I had one mom though, who is no longer with me, who would buy her son's clothing on swip swap. It's great to save a buck, but the clothes rarely fit. She would have to roll the pants to keep them up. They still never stayed up. or they were so tight he and I would struggle to pull them up. Once she sent him in denim overalls that had to be completely removed. He was potty training. She sent me a text later in the evening saying "I hope it wasn't too hard for him to use the bathroom with his overalls today." Well mom, it would have been hard except I changed his pants after drop off and put him back in the overalls before pick up. No one has time for that!

Even for the older ones that use the bathroom independently.... What type of designer makes an item that must be completely removed (from top down) just to pee.
YES rompers are such a huge PITA. I have one dcg who has been wearing them 1-2 times per week all summer.... this is her last month and I am just so happy the rompers will be gone. LOL

I wonder if they find actual drawstrings to be a strangle hazard? None of my kids clothes have functional drawstrings.

I prefer elastic bands anyway, I think the draw strings are for looks.

Ok, actually, this girl is the only one who ends up with a bunch of sand in her diaper I remember the first time it happened, I was like, 'how on Earth!?' and the mom ended up telling me the kid does this thing where she will pick up sand and pour it inside the front/neck part of the onesie!... So weird. And then I saw the girl do it. The only kid in a onesie, pours sand down the front of their onesie and it's all in her diaper. No one else has sand in their diapers.

Also none of mine have come up with the idea of taking off and tossing their diapers aside!... Yet.

I agree with most of these! Shoes that don't fit drive me bonkers. Right now I have a sibling set. DCB7 shoes are too big and he's always tripping or his shoe will literally fall off when he's running across the yard and DCG4 has sandals that are too small so her toes stick out the front a bit and get beat up on the concrete. The parents are a Dr and a VP of a very large company in our area...it's not like they can't afford it!

My SIL buys her teenage son second hand shoes, which is fine, but he gets athletes foot and she can't figure out why!

Another one I don't understand is headbands and clips in little (under 2) girls hair. They usually rip they out or they fall out within minutes of being here. Those plastic headbands are perfect to see how far you can stretch it until it snaps!

There are certain things I will never buy 2nd hand... shoes are one of them. My children always got new shoes because I didn't want to even consider what the used ones could harbor germ wise

Flip flops or any other shoes that were easy for the parents to slap on but cause twisted toes/ankles when the kids try to run around outside.

Crocs, lace-up shoes, or any other shoes that toddlers can't put on themselves.

Crib shoes on kids who've started walking.

Skinny pants, stretch pants, or too-tight leggings that the kids can't handle.

White shirts on kids who crawl! Those shirts WILL be brown at pick up. Also, unless we're eating soup I only use bibs on the really little ones, because I want the big ones to want to get the food to their faces without spilling it. Daycare time is learning time. I'm not wrapping the kids up to keep their clothing pristine. Big kids in white shirts will come home with drips down their front.

Rompers with buttons all over them. I only had one family who sent their kid in that, and of course she was the baby of constant blowouts.

Fancy hairdos with barrettes and bobbles and things. Those will come out during the day, and I don't know how to get the hair back to the same way they came with that morning. My romper mom would get huffy if the barrette went missing, too.

Wow. She sounds like a handful. :::: Most of mine had that plumbers gap problem when squatting in the sandbox.

I have one now who keeps trying to hoard toys by dropping/shoving them down the neck of his footed pj's.

No, kid, I can't tell you have tripled your body mass in the last 4 minutes. Put all the stuffed toys back in the bin. You're fooling noone.

Funny! No one can play with these! (Including me because I can't get to them inside my footed PJs)..

I only have 2s and younger, and only four children, so I don't really care about clothes that are a bit hard to get on/off, as long as they fit properly...
Tight jeans, long dresses, button-up shirts - in general "adult" clothes... WHY??? Strappy sandals that fall off, hats that don't cover their neck, fancy long pocket short on a tiny 2yo = shorts touch his shoes...
They're freaking babies, dress them in baby clothes!
