Usually if they are staying over 14 days you will need to have them complete a background check and have their fingerprints put on file.Each day is a fresh start

It depends on your state.
Here, a full federal criminal history background check would be required for anyone 17 and up to be onsite during daycare hours. Day 1.
They could head out to activities during the day and come back after close, though.
