In my state I can have up to 6 and be legally unlicensed. I never thought I'd want to go bigger until I found someone that I absolutely LOVE working with. She covered my maternity leave last year and we are a perfect match!
However, in order to go up to 12 kids I'd need a license and I just don't think I want to go through the hassle of being licensed. I wouldn't clear enough money each month to even make it worth the hassle, even though I SOOO want to keep working with her.Comment

I'm licensed for 7. It will go up to 8 when DD11 turns 12 next summer. I keep my group at 5 FT & a couple school agers. During the school year we go a lot of places and this way they all fit in my minivan +1 spot in case I have one of my own kids with me.Comment
