I do not want to give out my SSN to my clients for them to claim what they paid me is there another option to register my license number with the IRS?

Go to IRS.gov and fill out for an EIN. If it asks you to pay for it you are on the wrong site. You will have it in minutes. -

Its an employer identification number. Basically, it's used so you can have privacy. So you don't have to give multiple people your personal social security number.Comment
