Could you use a pie tin to pour it into? Never used it before... We just did handprints in salt dough.

Pie tin or shallow plastic container. A well made in sand will work too if you are in a warm area or snow if you are nuts.:

Thanks ladies. I found a clay pot my MIL had made that is the perfect size for the oldest ones hands to fit in and just put some plastic wrap in it to protect the pot. Hopefully they will turn out.
