Hello All,
I CLOSED my daycare 06/21/13 and had the summer off with my children which was AMAZING. We were out and about daily, swam and did not keep a strict routine. Yesterday I opened my doors to after school only care and have just two clients. I am no longer doing full time daycare. I am teaching part time at a local pre-school and am a leasing consultant part time 10 hours a week. All and All we survived the income loss. My sanity and home have benefited from not offering full time daycare and my children seem happier and less stressed. I do now enjoy having the two girls come over after school. They play well with my daughters and I will have off all holidays & vacations since their parents are teachers.
I did just come across a Craig's List ad from one of my former fulltime clients. She is advertising offering child care. She left me to become a stay at home Mom.
Anyone else just do after school care?
