  • Arguing and Constant Bickering

When do you intervene 3 year olds who are constantly bickering amongst themselves over anything and everything, one of them is the instigator of it and some times resulting in one of them hitting the other? Just curious when you step in and exactly how you handle it because I must be doing something wrong.

if I had this issue this is how I would deal with it...

I would get some small floor mats, rug, pillow case size or slightly larger. I would make each child play on their own rug/mat.

I would make sure that I stood back and let them play alone. ONce they have done that, I would allow for them to play together. I would learn what their triggers are and do my best to be proactive about stopping the arguments before they started.

If you are able to do something about it before it happens, you will be much better off then constantly having to do something about it AFTER it happens.

Sometimes this age is hard, show them how you expect for them to behave.
