Average Drop-In Rate??

i knoowww i'm not a provider and should stick to the parents forum..but this really is a questions for providers..so what better place to ask?!

i live in CA.. but open for anyone's input..what is a daycare HOME providers avg rate for a child that is only enrolled as a drop-in?.. like, what is the avg cost per day the child is there?

It depends a lot on where you live in CA. I charge $50/drop in and my normal rate is $40/day. That is pretty much the going rate for home daycare in my area.

I only do an hourly drop-in rate for 1 child. I charge $6.00/hour. My normal hourly rate is around $3. I do not live in CA.

Holy Cow m2m!!.. i guess i should consider myself lucky to live where i do(even though for the most part i hate it LOL) average for child care around here-central CA- is about $22/day... i just ask because i started my son at a new home daycare and the rate is $30/day for drop-ins and $22/day for regulare full time care... i guess it's pretty average then

I think you are getting a great deal!

Especially in Cali.

I've heard rates there are astronomical.

My daily rate breaks down to about $30 per day and if I had a drop in, I would charge them $40-45 per day with a maximum of 8.5 hours per day.

You are getting a good deal. I charge $38/day for drop-ins.

Fwiw I charge $35/day for fulltime care and $45/day for drop ins.

Yeah sounds about right. I live in So Cal (Ventura County) and my rate is $45/day for a full day or $6 an hour for drop-in.

$5 an hour minimum 2 hours or $25 a day IF they enroll in the food program regular weekly rate is $100

$40 drop in. 5 days a week is $140 ($28/day), 4 days $120 ($30/day), and 3 days is $105 ($35/day)
