  • My Home Childcare Must Be...

AWESOME... I usually don't brag, but I'm going to just this once!
I have a family of two brothers at my home childcare. Mom is a student and is student teaching until June. Well one day she told me that she may have to disenroll the boys if she doesn't find a job for the summer after she is done student teaching, but would like them to come back in the fall. I unfortunately had to tell her that I would not be able to hold two spots for the summer even though I love the boys, financially I can not do that. So last week she comes and tells me that she found a job so her boys could stay. Well come to find out, she will be a nanny for 3 of her friends' kids for the summer and she said she won't even be making enough to pay me, that her husband will have to make up for it. I know, I know sounds silly. I wish she would stay home with her 2 kids for the summer, but at the same time, she must really like it here to do that and she doesn't want to lose her spot. It just feels good to know that what you are doing day to day for other families is appreciated! And I just put my second family on my waiting list last night!

      Thanks!
It would be better for her to do that, but I think she is the type who needs a break from her kids. The baby cries a lot! I found all of my families on Craigslist! But almost all calls were for ages 3 and under!
