  • Child Care Software

I was looking online and found some Child Care Tracking Software. I was wondering if anyone uses this for their Child Care Business??

It actually looks pretty neat and organized!

Here is a link to one of them but there are others as well. I think this one is one of the most popular ones. http://www.procaresoftware.com/

I would not use Childcare Sage, we have that now. I regret that purchase. After the sale, customer service goes away. I have a daycare friend that uses childcare manager, she said she likes it. She has a small daycare center of about 26 kids. Kidcheck is an online, they have a montly fee, it was easy for me to use and pretty affordable, but over time it can get expensive if you have to pay every month.

I wonder if there is one available for a really small day care? For like babysitting?

I used procare when I was in a center. I didn't care for it. But now I use minute menu kids (free with our food program) and I like it ok. I don't know that any of them are everything we want them to be. I wish mine did a few more things than it does but it does help a lot.

I bet my husband could build something if he had the time to sit down and do it. He's a programmer but, heck finding the time to sit down and build it would be the problem.

Im not currently on the food program. How do you go about getting on the food program? Is that being registered??

Yes you have to be registered or licensed to be on the food program...at least in Texas you do. I looked up online my states CACFP sponsors and found these guys I'm using. Or you could call around to other providers and find out who they use and if they recommend their food program sponsor.

When I first started my CACFP sent out a brochure that said they would help financially with getting licensed or registered. I was already licensed but you may ask about that too.

I looked into maybe getting licensed but I have to have a HS Diploma or GED and unfortunately I do not have eitheryet. I need to go back and get my GED but I have been putting it off because Im so busy keeping up with my three kids and babysitting.

If you check out the Products-Services-Samples section of this forum, there are several threads relating to daycare tracking software: https://www.daycare.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11

checkinkids has been on frequently marketing software for what I think you are asking about. I would definitely recommend looking into their product.

Thanks so much! I will definately check that out!

I just like being organized and I believe having something to help me with that would be great!

Most providers here use MMK as their software because it usually comes with their food programs. I am unsure of whether it is only for providers who are on the food program or not but definitely worth checking out as well.

I am looking for something that I can enter the childrens information in and have it all on file. Track hours used for the week etc.
