OK, I am not one to "blame" a certain child for getting the other kids sick, but this is the story:
DCK comes Mondays and Wednesdays:
So about 3 weeks ago (on a Wednesday after dck went home), my 2 kids, plus 2 other daycare kids got the stomach bug (vomitting, diarrhea, etc). I texted DCM to inform her that all the kids were sick so she should keep an eye on her son. She texts me back and says "Yeah all of our family except "johnny" already had that on Tuesday." I know I can't tell her not bring dcb if he hasn't been sick, but a heads up that everyone was going to be exposed to it would have been nice.
Then about a week ago (on a monday), she comes in and tells me her oldest son has conjunctivitis. Well, Wednesday when dcb came, he had it too. It didn't show up until about an hour before pick up so I wasn't going to call her to come get him as she was probably already on her way.
Well, now my daughter has conjunctivitis - which she has never had!
And, the final straw is yesterday they dropped off dcb and said "nothing new to report" but then when they picked up, they informed me dcb was exposed to hand foot and mouth disease. I guess they visited their niece and her parents kept saying she only had a fever from teething but have now found out its from HFMD.
I know it's part of the business to be exposed to sickness and get sick and all that, but this seems ridiculous. My daughter was virtually NEVER sick before I started watching this child.
After waking up this morning and seeing my daughter had conjunctivitis, my husband said he wants me to term the family.
What do you think of the situation? What would u do?
