I work at a daycare in PA. It just opened. My director wants to start preparing meals. She said something about cacfp so I have been doing as much research as possible to get it right so she can get reimbursed but I feel I'm missing something here. I need to apply for this program correct? Where do we go about doing this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Good luck! It feels overwhelming at first. You got this, though.

The owner of the preschool & daycare center where I am the cook did all the researching and signing up to be in the meal program. (I was a school lunch lady prior to this so I was already familiar with much of the requirements.) She did the applying and emailing with the person from state who came to the facility to qualify us. I met the lady and she looked at my menu and made a couple of suggestions to me, but that was pretty much all that I was involved with the process. I feel like the owner/manager should be the one applying?
