  • Home office supplies vs business expense supplies

Doing my own taxes because my old supposedly specialized in daycare accountant was doing everything wrong and was audited..I’ve done my taxes last couple of years and don’t know why I’m having difficulty this year but what goes in supplies under home office vs business expense supplies? Or does it not matter?

I use the kidkare program because it does a great job with taxes.

It says "Office Expenses: Schedule C Expense. Examples: Association membership dues, birthday cards, books, calendar, education/training workshops, magazines, membership in Redleaf National Institute, NAFCC accreditation or CDA credential, online internet service, paper, stamps, etc."

Then you can decide if it is 100% business expense or time/space expense per entry.

The free trial may be worth it for you.

It doesn't matter where you put business expenses.
